Ryan Foster Wins Outlaw Karts Perpetual Trophy
There is a new Yamaha dealership in town - just at the end of Antelope Blvd - who
is more than just a purveyor of motorcycles, ATVs and motocross gear, they are deeply
dedicated to local motorsports and the local racers. This weekend the new Red Bluff
Yamaha presented its first annual "Red Bluff Yamaha Perpetual Trophy Night" for
the Red Bluff Outlaws Dirt Sprint Kart series at the Pauline Davis Pavilion. The
indoor karting series is in its 28th consecutive season running at the Tehama District
Fairgrounds and for 20 of those years there has been a Perpetual Trophy Night.
Robert Carrel, owner of Red Bluff Yamaha, has stepped up to take
responsibility for the prestigious presentation. This included replacing the decades
old 6 ft tall trophies which have served as the symbol for one of the highest achievements
in the sport of outlaw karting, with all new giant handmade trophies. The Red Bluff
Outlaws' series are very special to the entire Carrel family. They were the original
inventors and promoters of the sport. It is a sport that spread like wildfire across
the country with new tracks popping up in every state and region, and is now spreading to
Canada, Australia and Europe. Robert's father Bob Carrel, along with friends and
family began racing go-karts on dirt during the off season of stockcar racing.
The sport grew rapidly into an local institution that has seen over 5,000
racers and their families and friend become involved with. The high tech karts
appeal to anyone who loves fast, close racing. Kids as young as 5 years old up to
people over 60 show up each week to race the series. The largest karts can clock
over 70mph on the 1/10th mile oval dirt track. And for all their speed and action
are amazingly safe, thanks to Bob and Robert Carrel who created QRC Karts - the premier
manufacturer of outlaw karts. Their passion for the sport shows in their dedication
to the safety of the drivers and their focus to make this a family sport.
With the success of QRC Karts Robert has now ventured into his other passion,
motorcycles, by opening Red Bluff Yamaha this year. The beautiful new showroom
carries everything Yamaha - from dirt bikes to road and touring bikes to ATVs both utility
and sport and racing models. Plus they have a complete parts and service department.
Robert invited 2 members of his Red Bluff Yamaha Motocross Team down to Saturday's
events to sign autographs and meet the other racers. Robert Noftz and Garrett Jones
handed out hero cards, signed autographs and helped present the trophies to the winners of
the evening's races.
There are six racing division that run qualifying laps to determine placement in heat
races which are then used to determine starting positions in the main events all which
lead up to the A Main Feature Event in each division. More than 150 racers turned
out to compete for the 6 5ft. tall Perpetual Trophies, and they put on a demonstration of
some of the best racing in years, proving why so many racers who started competing have
gone on to be some of the top names in racing of all kinds. From the ranks have come
NASCAR stars, World of Outlaw stars, USAC, BCRA, and others. In fact, it was NASCAR
driver Ryan Foster how took home the Perpetual Trophy for the Open 500 Division - the
premier class of the sport.
During the winter Foster, like so many other racers who compete nationally, return to
their roots of Outlaw Kart racing to keep in shape and hone their driving skills. The
experience they gain at this tight bullring track can be carried to nearly any other
racing where it will prove invaluable.
A rundown of the winners shows the diversity of racers and how far people travel to
participate every week for so many years.

FOSTER BACK TO BASICS FOR ALTAMONT
This weekend RCR Development Driver Ryan Foster is headed back to one of his favorite
tracks to run the season finale for the NASCAR Grand National West Series. Since the
dissolution of his partnership with GGRT the young gun has been working relentlessly to
ready a car and team to run the final events of the season.
H.U.R.,
or Heads Up Racing Performance Engines, has become an important part of that team. The
company crafts cutting edge engines for circle track cars, dragsters, historic cup cars,
drag boats, and more. The owners were impressed enough with Fosters driving talents
that they pledged him a new motor early on in the season. Consequently H.U.R. has become
the primary sponsor for Foster going into event. "H.U.R. Engines has been working on
getting a motor together for me for quite some time and I'm very excited that we can show
off their expertise at one of my favorite tracks." Said Foster.
"Altamont
was the first place I ever ran a late model tour car and I have always loved the
track." The 83 acre facility features one of the best circuits and surfaces for the
Grand National cars. "I had some major equipment failures back in April when we last
ran Altamont. We were running really well but after suffering 3 flat tires its kind of
hard to come back from being that far behind. Recalled Foster.
Another key player in the effort is Junior Joiner shock and setup expert.
Joiner has been helping me since my first late model experience. Im very
grateful to him for devoting his talents to getting me back on the track. Unfortunately,
he wont be able to be in the pits this weekend because of his commitment to the
Craftsman Truck Series race the same day. But Im intending to take his setup to
victory circle. Said an energetic Foster.
Also responsible for Fosters ride this weekend is Silva Racing. Stan Silva has
been extremely generous. We will be running the #65 car and working on it out of their
shop. A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to test the car and motor with the
whole team. We really worked well together gelled. Silvas crew really knows
what they are doing, and we get along great ... They have my attitude: they just want to
win!!! Ryan is especially dedicated to a top finish in this race as a way to honor
Stans father who passed away just recently.
I am so excited about getting another chance to prove that RCR has picked the right
driver for their developmental program. We have had so much support from so many people,
and I am so thankful to all of them for helping me get this together on such short notice
and I know we will have a good showing for all their effort.
The race will be aired on HD NET and SPEED TV For more information visit

FOSTER ROAD COURSE ROOKIE SETS SITES ON INFINEON DEBUT WIN
June 20, 2007
San Francisco, CA
Ryan Foster will be facing an interesting challenge this weekend at the Sunscream 200; the
rookie RCR Developmental Driver has virtually no experience on road courses. Does this
seem to bother anyone? - No. Foster's middle name is "adaptable". This young
driver is a chameleon on par with Tony Stewart, able to hop in any vehicle, on any track
surface or condition, and win. Read More...
FOSTER FINISH 3RD IN COLORADO NAPA 150
June 4, 2007 Anderson, CA
Colorado proved to be a track well suited to the driving style of Ryan Foster. The Richard
Childress Driver Development Rookie found the 3/8 mile oval's sweet spot and used it to
set second fast time, just behind the all time track record set moments later by the #16
Napa entry. With four straight races of bad luck, including 4 flat tires, things are
looking up after this strong run. "It feels great to finally be back up front",
said Foster. "I was getting tired of flat tires and bad luck." Read More ...

Foster Top Finish Foiled by Tire Trouble
May 2, 2007 Anderson, CA
Ryan Foster's return to Altamont this past weekend had every possibility of being his
strongest finish in the Grand National Series, but tire problems brought the promise of a
top five finish to an abrupt end. Altamont, one of Foster's favorite tracks, was mired in
record breaking heat which made racing physically harder and car setup more challenging
than usual. Infamous for hot days and cool windy evenings the 1/2 mile oval can be a
crapshoot when it comes to getting the setup right so that qualifying on hot pavement will
balance out with a long night of laps on cooler surfaces. It seems that the Golden Gate
Team had done well. Despite garnering a disappointing 10th place qualifying time in car
that car that was loose, Foster and the crew knew that at as the sun set conditions would
tighten the car up to be a strong contender.
